Secure a Wreath on Brick, Concrete, or Stone in Under Half an Hour

Steer clear of hanging solutions that suggest you can hold a wreath on brick without anchoring. Various brick clips claim they'll secure decorations to brick, but these often fail and may cause accidents if the wreath falls. Investing a bit more time to anchor the wreath securely is advisable.

Besides using the suitable attachment tools, it's crucial to opt for high-quality, professional-grade Christmas lights and decorations. Refrain from purchasing inferior retail-grade Christmas items and instead choose products from online suppliers dedicated to the professional Christmas market.

Required Tools:

  • Safety goggles
  • Hammer drill (available for rent at a reasonable price)
  • Cordless screwdriver
  • Hot glue gun (optional for neatly placing the electrical cord)
  • 2″ to 3″ Tapcon masonry screws (available at most hardware stores) – https://www.tapcon.com/about
  • Tapcon branded masonry drill bit

Instructions to Mount a Christmas Wreath:

  1. Utilize a hammer drill to create the hole for the Tapcon.
  2. Place the screw into the Tapcon hole, leaving about 1″ protruding.
  3. Shape the wreath on the floor first. Test it by plugging it in before mounting.
  4. Secure the wreath to the Tapcon with a sturdy zip tie or galvanized wire.
  5. Attach the bow
  6. Final shaping adjustments

  8. Plug in the wreath and enjoy

After the holiday season, you can leave the anchor in place. It usually blends in with the brick or stone, but if it's too noticeable, consider painting it to match the surroundings.
