During the summer at Black Lives Matter demonstrations, many artists utilized apparel to convey a message. A notable piece was a shirt by Los Angeles-based creator Chaise Dennis of Pinnacle Pins, titled “The Gorgeous Black Man,” showcasing images of three Black men. Dennis conveyed to Vogue, “It’s about the celebration of Black men and all their visual and intellectual beauty, even amid times of distress and ambiguity.”
